Basilisk
Basilisks are large, serpentine mobs that are legendary for their killing glares and breath. They are found sometimes in dungeons and strongholdes. If the player looks at their head for too long, it will result in an automatic death.
Tactics[]
Basilisks have boss health bars, but the health bar displays "Poison Basilisk". This is a bug in the game, as there are no Poison Basilisks since the Basilisk IS poisonous already.
Basilisks are tricky to fight, since their weak spot is in their eyes and face. Hitting their blue scales does nothing, and anywhere else is quite ineffective for killing it and reaping its drops in decent time. They often won't do anything other than try to move their heads towards where the player is looking, and a work-around for this is to look down and back up for a few seconds. Every now and then, it will lunge and bite the player for 4 <3 of damage and breathe a poisonous cloud that, if it makes contact with the Player, automatically dies. They have 350 <3 and take 30 minutes to kill on average if the only areas you are hitting is in the body.
When killed, they drop 0-3 Rotten Flesh, 1-5 Basilisk Scales, and 0-1 Basilisk Eyes.
Habitat[]
Basilisks have a 13% chance to spawn in a stronghold and dungeon, sometimes suffocating themselves from the ceiling due to their size. Only one can spawn per stronghold and dungeon, but rarely they spawn as two from a bug.
