Dark Stone is a block found exclusively in the Shadowlands and Voxrokrania, one of its side dimensions.

Description

Location/Uses

Dark Stone is the Shadowlands equivalent of End Stone, and upon the summoning of the Shadow Dragon, the End island will triple in size and all End Stone will be replaced by Dark Stone, as well as the giant island becoming surrounded by a sea of Nythril.

Dark Stone has slightly more endurance with mining and TNT/Creeper explosions than End Stone. It takes 30 seconds to mine with bare hands, but a Stone Pickaxe or better is easily enough to mine it. The quickest way to mine it is with a Shadow Pickaxe, which instintaneously breaks the block upon mining.

Trivia

• Though it is supposed to be the Shadowlands counterpart to End Stone, its texture is really a modified Stone block.
• There is a bug where if the Player puts a redstone torch under a Dark Stone block, the Dark Stone will become fully lit. It cannot be broken after this unless the Player exits and re-enters the game.
